Unfortunately, we can only do what your hair will allow us to do. Factors like the
porosity and texture of your hair, medications, or even what has been done to your
hair in the past can affect the desired results. Even though you have treatment
systems in your house to treat well water, it can affect the results because there
are chemicals in the water that in turn can coat your hair.  Tanning beds and sun
will fade or lighten hair, which in turn will make it dryer, affecting the porosity, and
compromising the results. These factors can also affect how well your color holds
or how a perm might take. Every head is a unique situation. We will make every
reasonable effort to meet your expectations!
When it comes to corrective color, every procedure is a separate charge. A
corrective color service is defined as a color service performed to fix a color
situation done by yourself or someone else other than at Creative Cuts.  Although
our goal is for you to leave with exactly what you are expecting, we can only do
what your hair will allow us to do. Color will not lift color. To lift color, we need to
use a product that lifts, such as bleach or highlight product, or a color erase, all of
which compromises the integrity of the hair. Depending on the different porosities
of your hair, color may not be totally even when depositing color. Sometimes it
takes more than one day to fix some situations to get “perfect” results. Anytime
chemical services are performed on hair it compromises the integrity, and it may
be necessary to condition your hair more to fight the dryness. We have a great
staff and we take pride in our knowledge and talent to treat these situations. If you
have any concerns or questions regarding the charges for corrective color, please
ask before the services are performed.
Any previous chemical services, medications, well water, sun, chlorine, or tanning
beds can affect the way perms take and last in your hair. When the integrity and
porosity of your ends are affected, the ends become dry and may appear straight,
even though your hair near the root is wavy or curly. There is no fix for this other
than cutting the ends off. This is not due to anything done at the time of your
service; the ends have been previously compromised.
We keep records of all chemical services done on your hair. On your next
appointment for chemical services we can either do the same, or adjust what we
use. Please ask your stylists what products will help to keep your hair healthy and
